"My name is Hayley, I was born and raised in British Columbia. I grew up on an equestrian farm on Shuswap Lake, and have always been passionate about the outdoors. Some of my favourite outdoor activities include snowboarding, hiking, and of course yoga. Health and fitness are a big focus in my life, and becoming a yoga teacher was a part of my vision for a balanced lifestyle."
"Yoga is not just about the fancy poses, it's a lifestyle that you begin to embody. I started practicing yoga in my late teens purely for the fitness aspect of it. After high school I pursued an education that wasn't making me happy. I found myself turning to my yoga mat more and more to find peace of mind and some clarity. That's when I started to realize it wasn't just about the physical practice - that yoga was tapping into layers beneath the surface. I took my yoga instructing after deferring from the engineering program I was enrolled in. I have spent the last five years travelling, pursuing my passion for yoga and my love for snowboarding. The science behind yoga is fascinating beyond explanation. Facilitating others to become apart of this movement towards awareness is what fuels my passion for teaching. Yoga is the practice of life and what we learn on our mats we can take out into the world with us."
"My favourite place to practice would have to be anywhere by the water. I am currently teaching at Kamloops Hot Yoga. I'm also a volunteer yoga instructor at the Kamloops YMCA." - Hayley Petznick
